Capturing the Essence: Creating a Vibrant and Expressive Colored Portrait of Adaira

This drawing was fun because of the crazy hair day that she had at school. Her mother, Kristen, put her hair up in mini buns and used cupcake liners as "ribbons". So clever and cute. I again used colored pastel pencils on pink, sanded paper. I really love the layers of color that can be applied to the paper.
