Dramatic. Artistic. Unforgettable.
For a portrait with a truly dramatic effect, I use white pastel pencils on quality black artist paper.

The deep black background creates an incredible contrast with the white pastel, allowing the subject to emerge from the darkness and making the highlights especially striking.

This unique technique creates a portrait that is artistic, sophisticated, and completely different from a traditional color or graphite drawing.

A Portrait That Makes a Statement
The simplicity of using white against black allows me to concentrate on light, shadow, expression, and form. The result is a striking piece of artwork that naturally draws the eye.

Each portrait is drawn entirely by hand. No AI, computer-generated imagery, or digital filters are used.

You can provide several photographs if needed, and I can combine the best details from them to create one finished portrait.

Several sizes are available, allowing you to choose the presentation that works best for your home.
If you're looking for something truly distinctive, this dramatic white-on-black technique creates a portrait that is as much a piece of art as it is a treasured memory.

Bold contrast. Beautiful detail. A truly unforgettable portrait.
